Everton Morning Round-Up, Saturday 24th October 2026: Moyes Faces Former Player Arteta as Everton Head to Arsenal

Everton make the trip to North London this Saturday to face defending Premier League champions Arsenal, with David Moyes coming up against his old player Mikel Arteta in the away dugout, as the Liverpool Echo reports (Liverpool Echo).

Royal Blue Mersey note that Moyes has kept his cards close to his chest over his starting line-up for the clash, with Everton looking to bounce back from last weekend's home defeat to Chelsea (Royal Blue Mersey). The Liverpool Echo's Christopher Beesley argues in his column that Moyes deserves scrutiny following that reverse, while also examining how the Everton owners' backing has changed the manager's situation (Liverpool Echo).

On a more positive note, Moyes has been praising one of his Everton players ahead of the Arsenal game, saying the player 'trains like a monster every day' (Liverpool Echo).

Everton's focus now turns fully to this afternoon's away match against Arsenal, with Moyes having already given his pre-match thoughts on facing Arteta and his old club's opponents (Liverpool Echo) (Liverpool Echo).
