London City Lionesses Women v Everton Women live: score, updates and line-ups

Full time: London City Lionesses 2-1 Everton. First-half goals from Cascarino and Godfrey put the hosts firmly in control, and despite Cain's header from McNamara's cross giving Everton hope after the break, Brosnan was called upon to keep the visitors in it as London City continued to create the better chances. The hosts finish with the lion's share of possession and far more shots on target, and Everton couldn't find the leveller despite pushing hard late on - a defeat that leaves them with work to do.

London City have responded well to Everton's goal, with Anyomi and Thomsen both testing Brosnan - the keeper doing brilliantly to tip Thomsen's effort behind - while Diani has twice strayed offside in search of a third. Everton are hanging on in search of an equaliser but have been pinned back in these closing stages, with Anyomi now booked as the hosts push to see the game out at 2-1.

Game on at the RELOC8 EM Community Stadium! Cain, only on the pitch since the hour mark, glances home a header from McNamara's cross to halve the deficit, and suddenly Everton sense a way back into this one at 2-1.

Everton made a triple change at the break of this passage, bringing on Cain, Mouchon and Galli, while London City also freshened things up with Anyomi, Putellas and Thomsen already involved. The hosts still look the more threatening side, van de Donk twice going close either side of the subs, but Everton have shown some resilience, winning free-kicks through McNamara and forcing a corner as they try to find a way back into it at 2-0.

London City have continued to dominate after the break, with Thomsen forcing Brosnan into a smart save and Diani twice flagged offside as the hosts push for a third. Everton have had their moments though - McNamara tried her luck from a tight angle - but still haven't managed a shot on target, with the game's pattern largely unchanged at 2-0.

Godfrey doubles London City's lead with a lovely strike from outside the box, finished off Geyoro's pass, and Everton have real work to do now. There have been signs of life though - McNamara had a shot blocked and Ishikawa headed just wide from a corner as the half draws to a close, so Everton head in at 2-0 down but with something to build on after the break.

Cascarino's cool finish puts London City ahead, and the hosts have continued to press - Brosnan needed to be alert just after to tip over Godfrey's header from the resulting Diani cross. Everton are still searching for their first shot of the game and need to find a foothold quickly.

It's been a quiet opening quarter-hour at the RELOC8 EM Community Stadium, with London City edging possession and having the game's only effort so far, Arques dragging wide early on. Diani was then flagged offside as the hosts probed, but Everton have stayed organised and are yet to concede a shot on target as they feel their way into the game.
